John A. Holland founded Control & Equipment
Company in a one-room office at 1704 Montana Street in El
Paso, Texas in 1958. From the beginning, the company's philosophy has been to
operate as an independent manufacturer's representative designing air conditioning
equipment, controls and energy management systems to meet our customer's specific needs.
The original company was a partnership with two silent partners in Albuquerque, New Mexico
and in the early 1970's the company was incorporated with John becoming the full owner.
During the 1970's we continued our growth by becoming one of the major designers and
installers of energy management systems in West Texas and Southern New Mexico.
Control & Equipment
Company is completely locally owned and operated. Our staff is
comprised of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Controls Application Engineers,
Electronics Technicians, as well as field installation electricians and temperature
control installers. With the complexity of modern
buildings, there is no substitute for experience, and we have the right people engineering
the proper equipment for today’s complex systems.
Our client list includes hundreds of satisfied owners with successfully and
efficiently operating buildings. .
In addition to our total involvement in the design and
installation of controls and energy management systems, we have been actively involved in
HVAC Test and Balance projects since 1984. Our firm and personnel are certified by the
National Environmental Balancing Bureau to perform Test and Balance work for hydronic,
air, sound and vibration environment systems.
